I
bought this car a little over 4 years ago out of Kansas. The car is perfect
for restoration. It has all the important parts, including window reflectors
that work, original one piece bumpers, original dash. The original 265 engine
was replaced with a 283 with power pack heads and a two barrel carburetor.
Runs like a champ. No smokin'. I recently put a $1000 in wheel cylinders,
brake shoes, brake bleed, battery, choke cable, carburetor rebuild and assorted
other items/parts.
The original write-up on this car stated it had less than 50,000 original
miles. This is true according to the speedometer, however, the speedometer
doesn't work.
The cost of restoration is dramatically reduced when all the parts are there. It will still need body work and a paint job - the hood and driver side are blistering due to the fact somebody painted lacquer spray can paint over original enamel. It's a California Built car. The interior will need to be redone.
Currently there are a set of rally wheels on the car. There is a dent that is near the rear bumper.
I've found some rust spots in the trunk area and on the underside.
